24 hour lesson

That’s right; I have done the foolish thing of signing up to staying in school for 24 hours, of which we should stay awake for the whole lot and are not allowed to leave the building! I may have to go to sleep at a decent hour the night before, in preparation for '24 hour’s non-stop learning'.

You may ask why someone would sign up to something like this, well, its all in the name of charity. In May a teacher in my school visited schools and educational organizations working with Palestinian and other refugees in Lebanon. The charity EAI (education action international) work in areas affected by conflict to make sure refugees and other groups are receiving the basis human right of quality education. For more information on Mr. Danes work and targets click here.

25 students including myself are taking part in the 24 hour lesson hoping to gain as many sponsors as possible in order to raise money to go towards the charity outlined above. I’m hoping to raise as much money as possible, all donations will be gratefully received.

When is it...can u be on-line during the 24 hours so we can cheer u on or at least help pass some time or keep u awake...we can discuss the subject u r supposed to be learning...if we have to...it would be good to have an on-line hub/web cam/whatever so people outside can be part of it to spread awareness...oh and I will donate some cheesecake to sustain u through the night...and some money for the cause...as long as u don't spend it all on cheesecake.
